OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD AT GFBC
In 2020, our church was introduced to Operation Christmas Child - Christmas shoe boxes. Even though we were closed for the better part of the year, thanks to the generous donations of our church family, we were able to reach our goal of 50 shoeboxes. In fact, we surpassed our goal by one shoebox!
In 2021, our goal once more is to collect items for 50 shoeboxes. If you would like to donate, feel free to donate from the list of items below. Or, you may choose to donate anything that may fit in a shoebox. Please do not include the following items: candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
All donations need to be made or given by November 1, 2021. You may bring them to the church during our regularly scheduled services or to the office on Tuesday and Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Each shoebox takes $9.00 to ship. Any monetary donations will be used for shipping and/or to purchase other needed items.
